In addition\, she works as a freelance trainer for the Charlie Waller Trust delivering training on Mental Health Issues to schools\, primary care and a wide variety of organisations working with children and young people. As part of a nonprofit organisation called Brighter Futures Together\, she trains NHS CAMHS clinicians to deliver evidence based training to the children’s workforce across the Thames Valley and the South of England. \n\nSkyler Moulder\, Lead Nurse\, The Leys School and Senior Nurse Advisor\, HIEDA \nSkyler did her Adult Nursing BSc at Kings College London in 2011 and went straight into community nursing. After the birth of her first son she stumbled into community school nursing and never looked back. She completed training such as the CAMHS foundation module\, Sexual Health and Contraception module and was trained in Safeguarding Children Level 3. She completed her PG Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing in 2016 when she was pregnant with her second son\, which she later topped up to a full MSc in 2023 when she was pregnant with her daughter! This also included qualifying as a Nurse Prescriber. Skyler co-lead the development of a 0-19 Duty Desk and the introduction of the Chathealth text service in Cambridgeshire Community Services. In 2019 she became a Team Manager for the CCS Healthy Child Programme – managing a team of Nursery Nurses\, Health Visitors and School Nurses during the pandemic. In 2020 she was recruited to be the Lead Nurse at The Leys in Cambridge\, to lead a team covering 24 hour care for around 575 pupils (over half of which are boarders). After the birth of her first son she stumbled into community school nursing and never looked back. During her time as a community school nurse she covered primary and secondary schools all across Cambridgeshire. She completed training such as the CAMHS foundation module\, Sexual Health and Contraception module and was trained in Safeguarding Children Level 3. She completed her PG Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing in 2016 when she was pregnant with her second son\, which she later topped up to a full MSc in 2023 when she was pregnant with her daughter! This also included qualifying as a Nurse Prescriber. Skyler co-lead the development of a 0-19 Duty Desk and the introduction of the Chathealth text service in Cambridgeshire Community Services. In 2019 she became a Team Manager for the CCS Healthy Child Programme – managing a team of Nursery Nurses\, Health Visitors and School Nurses during the pandemic. nursing career in London in 1983. After her general training Brenda specialised in children’s nursing\, and over the years has worked with adults and children\, in London and Cardiff in both hospital and community settings. Since 2002 she has focussed on paediatric continence\, working as Paediatric Specialist Continence Nurse at the University Hospital of Wales until summer 2018. \nBrenda currently works two days a week as ERIC Nurse\, the first person to take on this role\, originally funded by the Department of Health. She works a further day a week as Paediatric Continence Nurse for Shine: Spina Bifida\, Hydrocephalus Information\, Networking and Equality. \nThe ERIC Nurse post was created to seek ways to improve early intervention into childhood continence problems. Brenda strives to increase awareness of children’s bladder and bowel health\, by designing easy-to-understand information for parents and providing training for health care professionals and early year’s workers. She has produced a generic Children’s Continence Pathway\, which ERIC is promoting as a model of best practice. The ERIC Nurse project won a prestigious Nursing Times Award in 2016\, and has stimulated articles in the nursing press. Brenda has re-written many of the ERIC leaflets\, and is enjoying working at the heart of the charity she supports. \nWhen she is not busy with her regular jobs\, Brenda is much in demand as a freelance trainer and speaker. School Nurse\, Bredon School \nJill is the school nurse at Bredon School\, a small rural boarding school in Worcestershire specializing in dyslexia and associated neurodiversities. With nearly a decade in this role\, she has developed a good understanding of neurodiverse needs and takes a hands-on\, compassionate approach to student care. \nJill trained as a nurse at Guy’s Hospital\, London\, in the early 1990s\, just before the launch of Project 2000. Her early career included working in endocrinology and renal medicine before she became adventurous! She then worked as a first aider and camp manager in children’s holiday camps in France\, joining the medical team for Raleigh International\, and became a project manager for World Challenge\, leading student expeditions worldwide. She has also been part of the medical team for the Everest Marathon in Nepal and led canoeing trips down the Ganges in India. \nAfter moving to Guernsey\, Jill took on a unique nursing role at the Guernsey Cheshire Home\, where she led adaptive exercise programs for residents with disabilities. From tandem cycling with blind residents to facilitating marathons for wheelchair users\, she had to find creative ways to make movement and adventure accessible to all. \nSince returning to the UK\, Jill has been in her role at Bredon School\, where she combines her medical skills with a deep passion for student well-being. Although she does not consider herself an academic\, she is a strong advocate for lifelong learning\, adaptability\, and the power of hands-on experience. \nA relevant personal connection to her current engagement is that Jill’s 18-year-old son is also a type 1 diabetic\, diagnosed at the age of 14. After the birth of her first son she stumbled into community school nursing and never looked back. During her time as a community school nurse she covered primary and secondary schools all across Cambridgeshire. She completed training such as the CAMHS foundation module\, Sexual Health and Contraception module and was trained in Safeguarding Children Level 3. She completed her PG Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing in 2016 when she was pregnant with her second son\, which she later topped up to a full MSc in 2023 when she was pregnant with her daughter! This also included qualifying as a Nurse Prescriber. Skyler co-lead the development of a 0-19 Duty Desk and the introduction of the Chathealth text service in Cambridgeshire Community Services. He is currently an ADHD and Neurodiversity Consultant and Trainer for a number of schools and organisations\, an Associate Lecturer for Leicester University\, NASEN\, the Helen Arkell Charity and the Institute of Education. \nHe was the Headmaster of the Centre Academy School\, regarded as the first specialist school within the UK for children with ADHD/ODD from 1996 -2002. She has worked in various hospitals in the UK and enjoyed travelling Australia whilst working in Sydney Children’s Hospital and The Royal Children’s Hospital\, Melbourne. Approximately 7 years ago her son was diagnosed with ADHD which has led her to become quite passionate about the neurominority population and how best she can support this community in her role as a school nurse.
