DESCRIPTION:Date: 12-13 January 2023 (this is a two-day course) \nTime: 09.00 – 17.00 \nVenue: Online\n\nAudience  \n\nAnyone who has an interest in becoming a first aider for mental health \nAnyone who has a responsibility for mental health in the workplace (mental health lead).\n\nCourse outline  \nThis two-day course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider.  \nMental Health First Aiders have:  \n\nAn in depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing\nPractical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues\nConfidence to step in\, reassure and support a person in distress\nEnhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening\nKnowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether that’s self-help resources\, through their employer\, the NHS\, or a mix.\n\nThis 2-day course explores normal mental health and when normal becomes unhealthy it gives the holder an in-depth knowledge of the complexities behind management and diagnosis.
