Migraine affects around 4 to 10% of children (National Migraine Centre), often involving slightly different symptoms to adult migraine. Migraine can impact academics, relationships and other activities, particularly when undiagnosed or mistreated.
For schools, this is a lot to consider! This webinar, delivered by a senior clinician from the National Migraine Centre, a specialist migraine clinic, will support delegates through understanding migraine, how it presents in children and what treatments and adjustments are available.
The session will also cover adaptations schools may consider as workplaces for any staff who suffer with migraine.

Dr Katy Kyprianou
Dr Katy Kyprianou is a dedicated GP with a special interest in Neurology. She brings over six years of clinical experience, having qualified with an MBChB in 2014 and obtained her MRCGP in 2019. Dr Kyprianou recently completed a postgraduate qualification in Neurology at University College London, where she will be awarded a distinction in July 2025.
In addition to her role at Midland Health, Dr Kyprianou is a salaried GP at Feldon Lane GP Surgery in Halesowen. She also runs occasional private clinics at Lion Dental in Stourbridge, with a focus on idiopathic facial pain and trigeminal neuralgia. She has been an active volunteer with the National Migraine Centre for almost three years.
