Director: Jane Graham
Trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, Jane has 27 years of nursing background; 17 of which is in trauma and intensive care. Whilst in PICU, she had a number of different roles. Nine years of that included a role as a specialist retrieval nurse (CATS) that entailed travelling around the country to stabilize and bring back critically unstable children. To do this she learned advanced nursing and basic medical skills in resuscitation, all medical conditions, and trauma.
She went on to teach these skills to student nurses, qualified nurses and junior doctors as the Practice educator on intensive care. This role also involved lecturing regularly at South Bank University. She has been a DSL for Safeguarding at an independent boarding school where she was Lead Nurse. She is also an instructor for Qualsafe, an awarding body approved by the HSE.
Head of Member Services: Chris Ryan
Chris is responsible for membership at Hieda. A former state school deputy head, Chris was DSL directly responsible for the welfare and child protection of those in his care.
Head of Events, CPD and Consultancy: Bethan Waddington
Beth is responsible for the CPD programme at Hieda. With a background in both the charity, education and membership sectors in the UK and overseas, she is passionate about ensuring that health and wellbeing is a priority topic in all businesses.
Communications and Partnerships Manager: Andrew Gray
Andrew is an experienced communications professional with a strong track record of providing a wide range of public relations and communications support across a variety of sectors including charity, construction and engineering, defence, education, entertainment, foodservices, healthcare, housing and property, leisure and retail. Andrew is responsible for driving all messaging including web, media, social media, resources, campaigns, surveys, and setting up partnerships for Hieda.
Business Support Manager: Ellie Reed
Ellie is responsible for providing support to core business functions and projects across Hieda and will often be found supporting members at our CPD events. With a background in both charity and private sectors, Ellie is well-placed to support the needs of Hieda members.
Finance and Administration Manager: Danielle Cuthbert
Danielle is responsible for providing finance and administration support to Hieda. With previous roles at an accountancy practice, a sports governing body and in local government, she brings considerable experience of a range of business sectors.
