Course outline

This webinar aims to update delegates on Diabetes management in the workplace. It will outline some support strategies that can be implemented to promote high standards of care, efficient management and promote teamwork for the care of the person who has diabetes. It will discuss latest technology to support diabetics.

Training topics will include:

  • Technology update
  • Diabetes update
  • Promoting independence

Learning outcomes:

  • To be up to date in diabetes management
  • To have an understanding of technology and how it can improve management and independence
  • To ensure delegates know and understand the benefits of teamwork when caring for a person with diabetes.

Jill Blakeney, School Nurse, Bredon School

Jill is the school nurse at Bredon School, a rural boarding school in Worcestershire specializing in dyslexia and neurodiversities. With nearly a decade in this role, she takes a hands-on, compassionate approach to student care. Trained at Guy’s Hospital, London, she has worked in endocrinology, renal medicine, and international youth expeditions, including Raleigh International and World Challenge. Jill also led adaptive exercise programs for residents with disabilities in Guernsey. Passionate about well-being, she combines medical expertise with advocacy for lifelong learning. Her personal connection includes supporting diabetes care, having run the London Marathon for Diabetes UK.
