Cranstoun Worcestershire provides a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. The preventative and self-help approach of the service compliments the established harm reduction, treatment and recovery interventions delivered across the County ensuring the service caters for all levels of need.

We are looking for an individual to be our Worcestershire Clinical Lead to drive and support innovation and good practice. As Clinical Lead, you will contribute to the strategic development of services, alongside providing relevant interventions to our service users. The role involves extending the clinical leadership and support for primary care GPS who provide shared cared drug and alcohol service across Worcestershire. You will be responsible for the clinical supervision of NMPs and Healthcare Practitioners to support, develop and deliver quality care.

This position requires a qualified nurse or advanced clinical practitioner with appropriate and valid registration with either the NMC or GPHC and experience of working with individuals who use alcohol/substances.

You will have an in-depth knowledge of the issues affecting people with substance misuse. You will also need to be comfortable with the recovery principles in addictions and NICE guidance on detoxification and stabilisation protocols. You should demonstrate skills to ensure that the care delivered, is specific and evidence based, adhering to service user’s needs.

Good communication skills both written and verbal are essential and in addition the confidence to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
