Community and Wellbeing Manager
Location – Brighouse, West Yorkshire
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 pa, rising to £37,550 pa through length of service.

We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team. As a great leader you have a genuine passion to lead our services in delivering aspirational person-centred housing related support. You’ll have overall responsibility for managing our service, Railway Bridge View.
We’re currently putting the finishing touches to this brand new, extra care community in the bustling town of Brighouse. Opening in May 2022, we’ll be supporting older people aged 55+ with varying care and support needs to live independently in their own home with peace of mind, including some customers with developed dementia.
We’ll be offering high quality living in our 65 beautifully designed apartments with a variety of on-site facilities including assistive technology through Appello, 24/7 on site wellbeing and care provision, restaurant, café, hair/beauty salon, communal activity rooms and stunning elevated gardens. It will be a real hub within the local community. Brilliant isn’t it!
Our fantastic new building is very close to Brighouse town centre, only half a mile from the train station and there are bus stops literally on the doorstep with good routes for Huddersfield and Halifax. Really handy!
While leading a team of housing colleagues you will work alongside the Registered Manager and the care team to deliver efficient, high quality, cost effective and customer centred services. You’ll empower our customers to live independently and make it a great place to work for our colleagues.
As Team Manager you’ll ensure the high performance and quality assurance of our services using your experience and strong skills in effectively motivating and directing colleagues. You’ll also monitor service performance against contractual targets and ensure that the service is visible and accessible to referring agencies and self-referring customers too.

A Bit About You
We want someone like you, who has significant experience as a Service Manager in managing large contracts, associated KPI’s, budgets and can drive the consistent delivery of high-quality services to meet the needs of our customers and commissioners.
To be awesome in this job, your key strengths will lie in people management and motivation, bringing colleagues together to share information and best practice. You’ll maintain strong professional relationships with your peers and their teams as well as external stakeholders. We’ll be impressed with your passion for promoting independence and social inclusion, as well as your focus on quality, efficiency, and your ability to develop service provision in new and innovative ways.
We do need you to have an excellent working knowledge of the Housing and Care and Support sectors, safeguarding processes, and housing law. You’ll be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emerging risks to individuals, teams or the contract and it’s also important that you have excellent communication skills, IT skills and strong analytical skills too. So, join us and lead a team which is doing things differently and spending more time making a real difference to vulnerable people’s lives.
To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a Supported Housing, preferably Extra Care or Community Wellbeing, environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

As well as being part of a large team in Railway Bridge View, you will also join the wider Yorkshire management team and will work for our brilliant Operations Manager Katina Lytra and Head of Service Delivery for the region, Sarah Clark.
