Job Description

Bancroft’s School is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Graduate Sports Assistant to join our thriving PE Department. The role is fixed-term until July 2024.

The Graduate Sports Assistant will need to demonstrate an ability to work cheerfully and effectively with the children across PE and our main sports of netball, hockey, tennis and athletics. Extra-curricular activities and clubs are a big part of life at our school and the Graduate Sports Assistant will need to take an enthusiastic part in this area too. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop sport in a vibrant and supportive environment.

Bancroft’s is one of the country’s leading co-educational schools, providing a happy and encouraging learning environment where bright children are challenged and supported to reach their full academic potential. Bancroft’s is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit.

Bancroft’s offers a generous benefits package, including a competitive salary, and has a commitment to supporting ongoing professional development.

Bancroft’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants are required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the role, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Bancroft’s may carry out online searches on shortlisted applicants and all applicants will be required to provide details of their online profile, including social media accounts, as part of their applications.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
