Schools’ Association (BSA), the British Association of Independent Schools with
International Students (BAISIS), the Health in Education Association (HIEDA), the
Safeguarding and Child Protection Association (SACPA), the Institute of Boarding (TIOB)
and its subsidiary BSA Group Legal Services Ltd.

BSA Group team

A team of 24, our staff work remotely, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised team player to support the work of the BSA Group and strengthen our
customer-focused, business-minded, commercial, dynamic, ambitious team.

This role is remote so can be located anywhere in the UK provided the post holder is
willing to travel for meetings, conferences or to see customers, as required and has the
right to work in the UK. Out-of-hours work will be required from time to time. We put

considered.

Job Description

Post: Head of HIEDA
Responsible to: Executive Director – Specialist Services
Start date: ASAP

BSA Group is looking to appoint a Head of HIEDA to join our team. As Head of HIEDA,
you will be a key member of our dynamic team, responsible for driving revenue growth
and ensuring customer satisfaction.

As a member of the BSA group leadership team (GMT, the HEAD of HIEDA will be
responsible for the following:
• Successfully lead HIEDA and work with the team to achieve annual membership
and CPD targets.
• Manage budgets and team staff to agreed targets.
• Support and develop service delivery to customers and to attract non-members
to HIEDA.
• Position HIEDA as a thought-leader in the field of education health and
wellbeing.
• Assist leadership and management of company and staff as a member of
General Management Team (GMT).
• Develop and maintain relationships with
schools/colleges/universities/nurses/counsellors/suppliers.
• Provide services such as networking, resources, training, accreditation,
conferences and consultancy.

The post holder will demonstrate:
• Significant experience of leading a health/medical centre in schools.
• Current nursing qualifications with the ability to deliver training and supervision
to other qualified nurses.
• Current NMC registration.
• Teaching and assessment qualification with experience delivering higher level
education.
• Experience of developing and implementing relevant policies.
• DSL/DDSL experience.
• Experience of preparing and managing budgets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build
effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• A high performance and results-driven mentality.
• Commitment to teamwork and building relationships.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Good data, analytical and numeracy skills.
• Be commercially savvy and deliver on KPIs.
• Familiarity with office software systems and an ability to use technology.
• Creativity and a focus on finding positive outcomes and solutions.
• Good personal organisation.
• Ability to work as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Provide support for the delivery of any BSA Group services and as requested by
the CEO and DCEO/COO as required.

BSA Group Legal is a SRA registered law firm offering immigration legal support to BSA member schools and their
students. BSA Group Legal offers a full-spectrum immigration support service including: CAS support; policy, recordkeeping and reporting support; BCA and CAS allocation guidance; mock UKVI audits; agent/guardian checks; due
diligence checks to assess financial and pupil eligibility; bespoke immigration training and advice; individual student and
family visa application support; Home Office escalation support including replacement BRPs, delayed application
decisions, ISI compliance issues, CAS reinstatement and visa refusals.

HIEDA: Health in Education Association
The Heath in Education Association (HIEDA) launched in July 2021 and has 132 members with a mission is to champion
health in education excellence. Hieda provides training and education on a wide variety of medical issues, delivered by
healthcare professionals who are experts in their field.

SACPA: Safeguarding and Child Protection Association
The Safeguarding and Child Protection Association (SACPA) champions excellence in safeguarding and child protection
and has 480 members in 29 countries. Sacpa is the voice of safeguarding, providing a channel to government and other
key agencies. The association represents organisations, associations, agencies and individuals involved in safeguarding
the welfare of children and vulnerable adults in the UK and overseas. The association formally launched in January 2020.

The Institute of Boarding (TIOB) was launched in June 2022 as the world’s first professional association for boarding
school staff. TIOBS currently has 200 members, and its mission is to ‘support excellence for professional boarding staff’.
