Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator

Based at Alloa Campus
Fixed Term until December 2022

Forth Valley College wants to empower our staff and support staff during life’s challenges by establishing a holistic, focused and coordinated, whole staff approach to health and wellbeing which is a key component of the Forth Valley College People Strategy.

Reporting to the HR Business Manager who oversees staff Health and Wellbeing initiatives, this is a stand-alone role which operates across the College. You will facilitate on the development and implementation of the already established Health and Wellbeing Outcomes Framework which addresses the key areas that contribute to good health and wellbeing which covers:

Physical: personal fitness and of the working environment
Social: both personal support and financial support
Intellectual: self-worth and achievement
Emotional: relationships and self

You will assist in the creation of a new health and wellbeing project plan for 22/23 and lead in the progress of some key health and wellbeing projects such as Mental Health Ambassadors, Carer Positive, Menopause and Mental Health to name a few. You will be responsible for booking in all upcoming courses/webinars/sessions in line with business requirements and allocated budget up to July 2023 as well as be responsible for researching relevant health and wellbeing topics/resources each week and promoting these to staff. You will then be required to evaluate courses/webinars/sessions delivered and have an influence on if/when they should be run again.

This role requires you to be proactive in approach and you must be a good clear communicator both orally and in writing. You will be required to work within tight deadlines and have effective working knowledge of Word and Excel.

If you have a minimum HNC in a relevant subject or equivalent or with relevant experience and have a real interest in working on health and wellbeing initiatives to ensure staff live and work well, we want to hear from you. This is a 0.5 FTE position and flexibility is available in terms of hours/days worked.
