Portobello High School

Salary: £19,687 – £19,969 (pro rata for part-time and sessional)  (sessional 39 weeks)
Hours: 30 per week

Portobello High School is currently one of the largest local authority run schools in Edinburgh with a roll of more than 1400, drawn mainly from five associate primary schools.

In October 2016, the school moved into a superb new building on Milton Road close to rail, bus and road links. This post represents a great opportunity for the right person to join a large staff team and work in a truly comprehensive setting.

We are looking for a Pupil Support Assistant to join our staff team. This post would suit someone who has previous experience working with, and to provide support for young people with high levels of needs. They will understand and value the importance of the young people’s health and wellbeing. Flexibility, enthusiasm and a commitment to inclusion are some of the key skills required to fulfil the post.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
