Kingsmead Day Nursery Ltd is a well-established, independent children’s day nursery in Winchester City Centre, we are a family run business that has been in existence for 33 years. It is a home from home for our little ones and we are looking for a kind, enthusiastic and caring person to join our family! This person must be able to contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the Nursery. They will need to implement the daily routine in the base room and give support to other personnel within the Nursery. This exciting position offers opportunity for growth within the company and training available, to ensure you have the best knowledge and understanding whilst working within the nursery.

Personal Attributes:

This job as a qualified early years educator is suited to someone who is an effective communicator working within a team, using their initiative to create a caring, nurturing and stimulating environment for the children in their care. They will need a professional approach to both staff and parents, with a commitment to support the Managers and leaders.

Job Specification:

To assist in the day-to-day care of children aged 3 months – 5 years.

  • Have a good knowledge of the EYFS as well as child development in order to carry out observations and planning for key children
  • A Level 2 childcare qualification or above
  • You will be expected to deliver the highest quality of care and curriculum inline with the ethos of our nursery and OFSTED guidelines.
  • Uphold standards by adhering to the setting’s policies and procedures, ensuring diversity, inclusion, safeguarding of children and confidentiality are all maintain to the highest standard
  • Deliver exciting child led activities utilising the outdoors
  • Be passionate about providing the best outcomes for children
  • Be enthusiastic, fun, creative and a good role model
  • Have a commitment to self-development and be prepared and motivated to keep knowledge and skills updated
  • Believe in promoting and building strong parent partnerships to provide cohesive learning for the children
  • Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant must be able to undertake and provide a clear enhanced DBS check and satisfactory referencing.

We are open to part time of full time candidates looking to work from 1 day to 5 days per week.
