Bristol School Health Nursing service is a workforce of Specialist Community Public Health Nurses and Registered Nurses who provide expert advice, support and interventions to children, young people (5-19) and their families and help empower them to make decisions that affect their families’ future health and wellbeing.

The service supports all pupils of school age and those attending primary and secondary schools within Bristol. It works in partnership with multi-disciplinary health teams within community and acute services, local authority and voluntary sector teams to deliver a clinically effective, high quality health service to the school aged population

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our School Nursing Team in Bristol. We are a supportive, skill mixed team, covering both mainstream and special schools.

We are seeking innovative and passionate candidates who have knowledge and understanding of children and young people’s public health agenda with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team. The ability to manage your own workload, whilst ensuring that advocation for children/young people, families/careers is at the heart of your practice.

This is a fixed term School Health Nursing position for 22.5 hours per week, all year round ending 22/07/2022. The role will be based in South Bristol, Osprey Court, however there may be flexibility required to work across Bristol.
