Stress and sadness don’t have to mean you’re mentally ill, schoolchildren taught

New research from University College London suggests that teaching schoolchildren to view stress and sadness as normal parts of life can significantly improve their mental health awareness. The study, conducted with 32,000 children across 500 schools in England, found that strategies like normalizing everyday emotions and mindfulness exercises were effective in enhancing mental health literacy and encouraging early intervention.
