Course outline
This webinar provides a practical and up to date overview of wound care management in educational settings, with a focus on school nurses and healthcare practitioners supporting pupils. The session will explore assessment, cleaning, dressing selection, infection prevention and escalation. Emphasis will be placed on age-appropriate care, record keeping and working withing professional and safeguarding boundaries.
Training topics will include:
- Different wounds and initial assessment
- Cleaning and dressing techniques
- Infection prevention and escalation
