Associate Director of Community Health and Wellbeing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced operational senior managers to form part of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust’s Senior Leadership Team, as we move forward with our ambitious plans to become an Outstanding provider of mental health, learning disabilities, autism and physical community health services.

Our Top Team structure has recently been redesigned, and with several new appointments over the past 12 months, the Executive team has begun implementing its plans to become one of the top performing provider Trusts across the West Midlands. Main duties of the job

You will join us at a key time as we develop future plans for our services in partnership with colleagues across the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System.  Working to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide-ranging portfolio of either physical community services or learning disability and autism services, leading programmes of work that will drive forward our plans to deliver step-change in productivity, performance and quality improvement.  We are proud that NHS England have named us a Global Digital Exemplar, one of only seven mental health trusts in the country to gain this status, demonstrating our commitment to transforming healthcare through investment in innovation and technology.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Masters degree or equivalent training and experience
  • Evidence of other additional specialist management training to post graduate level

Knowledge and skills

Essential criteria
  • Extensive knowledge of the Health and Social Care environment (see below and JD).
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to build successful teams
  • Able to work collaboratively with partner organisations
  • Ability to influence and motivate staff to deliver challenging targets
  • Ability to present complex data
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Excellent problem solving skills using team when appropriate

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant experience within the Health and Social care sector at senior manager level including responsibility for the strategic planning, service delivery and budgetary control for a large directorate or service
  • Experience in Negotiation with and influencing others
  • Complex and significant service redesign. Proven track record of achieving challenging healthcare targets
  • Proven record of pro-active performance management
