As a Family and Carer Alcohol practitioner with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people using our services who are affected by others alcohol use. Helping families where alcohol is having a negative impact to recover and move forward.
Responsibilities:
As the Family and Carer practitioner you will work in collaboration with the Alcohol Recovery Practitioners providing support to reduce the barriers and the impact of alcohol use on families and carers. You will develop new ways of working with families utilizing evidenced based practice and resources.
Part of your role will be to provide in reach support within the borough, working in collaboration with local communities and key stakeholders to develop pathways across a variety of settings to meet the needs of our residents, to ensure robust pathways with Children & Family services across the borough is effective.
Our main aim is to increase resilience within the family and develop links to increase family social networks, to improve the health and wellbeing of families and children and reduce the risks of parental alcohol use in line with key principles outlined within “Every Child Matters.”
