The Bedford Adult Learning Disability team is seeking two qualified Learning Disability Nurses to work in our small dynamic community team.Working with relevant current legislation and procedural framework in collaboration with service users.You will assess their needs identify options for meeting those needs negotiate and review appropriate care within the Departments priorities in line with the principles of personalisation. To ensure that care and support is person centred and empowering service users to have control over their lives.

You will be a good team player willing to share your substantial knowledge and experience with other team members and be able to contribute towards their development and also students that are placed with the team.

Regular supervision will be in accordance with the departmental supervision policy and annual appraisal to support ongoing professional development and CPD.The team offers agile working and promote the need for a strong work life balance to support best practice and positive outcomes for all and an opportunity to make a real difference.

The Bedford Adult Learning Disability team is looking for qualified learning disability Nurses to work in our small dynamic community team.

Previous experience of working within a social care setting is vital. This will involve undertaking high level assessment work and you should be confident with complex case work such as Mental Capacity Act Assessments, Complex Best Interest Assessments, Court of protection work and adult safeguarding.

You will be a good team player, willing to share your substantial knowledge and experience with other team members and be able to contribute towards their development. The aim of the team is to promote the health and wellbeing, independence, choice and a better quality of life for adults with a learning disability.
