About The Role
Fixed Term – 12 months
We have an opportunity for an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to join a well-established team delivering an innovative service that is uniquely placed to deliver emotional wellbeing and mental health provision to Young People across North Yorkshire.
The role will operate virtually, delivering interventions to young people in North Yorkshire via microsoft teams, though there may be occasional travel required to attend meetings. Compass Phoenix works with children and young people who may benefit from receiving early help and prevention work in relation to mild to moderate emotional wellbeing and mental health issues.
Our dedicated team help young people to make sustainable lifestyle changes that will improve their long-term health, resilience, and emotional wellbeing, reduce risk to themselves and others and equip them to reach their potential.
Compass is part of a wider system across North Yorkshire that provides mental health services to children and young people and therefore we work closely with key partners such as specialist CAMHS, Children & Family Services, Early Help and the Healthy Child Service
About You
As an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, you will deliver time limited structured one-to-one interventions and groups virtually to children and young people and action appropriate step-up referrals into specialist services and/or step down to universal provision.
You will be adept at delivering structured, evidence-based psychosocial interventions based on a holistic comprehensive assessment and care plan. Safeguarding will be an integral aspect of the role, and as such you will promote children’s welfare at all times.
You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
