At Ocean Healthcare we have a rare vacancy for a Registered Nurse with experience in Mental Health and/or Learning Disabilities. Do you have great communication skills? If so, you could be our next Mental Health and/or Learning Disabilities Nurse Specialist.

This is a leadership role, working in a team of Nurses, Team Managers, and HCAs. Drawing on your LD and mental health knowledge and expertise, you will have oversight of our Service Users and their needs. You will carry your own case load, work with our teams to assess and develop care packages and support our Service Users to have the best lives possible. The role will include supporting service users and families with learning disabilities, autism and/or additional needs, and helping to develop the skills of their team of HCAs.

To excel at this role, you must be honest, hardworking and passionate about supporting excellent care. An ideal candidate will have the ability to work creatively and proactively with service users and families to meet their individualised goals. You will also have experience in assessment and management of risk and will be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You need at least 2 years’ experience, ideally working with both adults and children, a valid NMC PIN, a driving license and access to your own vehicle.
