Prior Park College has an exciting new opportunity for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant to join our dedicated Health and Wellbeing Centre.  The post holder will work closely with our Lead Nurse and Health Centre Assistants, wider school and pastoral team(s) and the Head of Compliance to support the proactive strategy for student health, including first aid, mental health and wellbeing, pastoral care provision in the School.

The role has access to confidential information and will require absolute discretion and in line with both internal and external data protection policies and laws. A current full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Our dedicated Health and Wellbeing Centre provides medical, well-being, counselling, and pastoral support services to our student community at Prior Park College and potentially at The Paragon School. There are approximately 150 boarders and 450 day students at Prior Park College and 260 day pupils at The Paragon.

Working 40 hours per week on a rota basis, term time and CPD days plus 2 additional weeks (37 weeks per year).

The Health and Wellbeing Centre is open between 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and the appointed person will also work an evening in the boarding house, likely until 9.30pm with a later start time on that day. Will also be required to work for a occasional pre- arranged day over a weekend to assist as required, such as the welcoming of boarding students to college.

We offer a supportive working environment, Pro Rata salary: £22,897 – £23,590 (FTE salary £27,570 – £28,407) plus free lunch each day the kitchen is operational. We also access to other benefits including free onsite parking, contributory pension scheme and onsite gym.

The role will commence on 30 August 2024.
