We are looking for a Mental Health Family/Parenting Worker, this will be a combined role and will involve co-delivering parenting programmes that will promote improved emotional wellbeing for children and young people; delivering parenting workshops in schools and the community to empower parents/carers to develop resilience in their children and being able to hold a caseload of families where there is a need for and individual family work intervention to support improved family outcomes.

You will be a part of the development of Transforming Children and Young People’s Mental Health Provision (a Green Paper) . CAMHS leads and local authority leads in East Berkshire have been incredibly busy working collaboratively to set up the new CAMHS Getting Help services. The services are called The Getting Help Teams(GHT) and Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) and they are based in the local community and selected schools. This new service supports children, young people, their families, schools and the community to improve their emotional wellbeing and intervene early before mental health issues become established.

Teams are based across East Berkshire and we are looking for a Parenting / Family Worker to work across the three localities in East Berkshire: Bracknell, Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Slough.
