MENTAL HEALTH, SAFEGUARDING AND WELLBEING MANAGER

Full-Time, Temporary for a period of 1 year

£34,277 per annum, pro rata

Working within the College’s Student Services Team you will be responsible for the effective delivery of a range of mental health, safeguarding and wellbeing activities for students and staff.

Your main duties will include development and delivery of the Mental Health Action Plan for students and staff; management and support of the Counselling and Wellbeing team and development of systems and procedures to monitor mental health and safeguarding processes.

The successful candidate will be educated to HND/Degree level qualification in a relevant area and possess an adult guidance qualification. You will have experience and understanding of supporting people with mental health and safeguarding issues in addition to effective communication and IT skills.

The new PVG scheme replaces enhanced disclosures when undertaking work with Children or Vulnerable Adults. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by South Lanarkshire College.
