Hear from one of our Nursery Managers

What fills your heart with happiness about your role?

Building relationships with the families and being a part of the children’s journey. Many of my previous pre-schoolers have come to me for work experience and I have just helped an 18-year-old girl get her first job, I was her key worker when she was just 3 years old!

How are you supported at Monkey Puzzle to develop and progress your career?

Myself and my team are always updating our knowledge through training courses sourced through Monkey Puzzle head office which most definitely is unique to any nursery I’ve worked at. We also have an operations manager who regularly comes out to ensure standards at the nursery are being met, this ensures we are consistently assessed and evolving.

What would you say to anyone with a choice of early years childcare as a possible career path?

It’s about how you play and interact with the children that matters the most. It is a rewarding career if you are in it for the children. You have to be a team player.

We can’t wait to hear from you soon!
