About Adult Health & Social Care Services
In Adult Social Care we are committed to the work we do and the difference we make to residents of Barnet every single day, month and year. Adults Social Care & Health comprises of people with a range of professional specialisms and expertise, including social workers; occupational therapists; contract brokers; staff delivering statutory services; financial and performance analysts.

About the role
An exciting opportunity to be part of our Prevention and Wellbeing Team where you will work with individuals to achieve objectives to improve their health and wellbeing, alongside supporting local communities to coordinate and grow what is on offer in the local area.
Working in a creative, strengths based and personalised way you will support local residents who have had contact with Adult Social Care and their carers to find practical and sustainable solutions to achieve their objectives.
Focusing on what already exists within our local communities, work towards coordinating this information, identifying gaps and opportunities, developing new initiatives and encouraging the local community to take the lead on managing this long term. You will build strong relationships with local partners, understanding the value of local residents and providing support to increase accessible community initiatives and promoting an integrated and collaborative approach.
We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- a creative and enthusiastic approach to support individuals to build good networks.
- experienced in approaching issues in stages and developing plans.
- a passion for working with people, leading others, and have a clear understanding of professional boundaries, risk assessment and personal accountability.
- an understanding of Health and Social Care within the Barnet community and experience of working with adults with care and support needs.
- knowledge of relevant social care legislation and guidance and an understanding of protecting and making vulnerable adults safe
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to use a wide range of IT applications and document systems and experience of recording work.

Staff visiting care homes are required to be vaccinated against Covid 19. The work carried out in this role may involve visiting clients in these settings.
