Permanent – Full Time -Term Time + 2 weeks – January 2024 start

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified professional Registered Mental Health Nurse (DipHE or BSc) with a current active NMC PIN, to join our nursing team in our dedicated Health and Wellbeing Centre. The Health and Wellbeing Centre provides medical, wellbeing, counselling, and pastoral support services to our student community at Prior Park College and potentially at The Paragon School. There are approximately 150 boarders and 450 day students at Prior Park College and 260 day pupils at The Paragon. Prior Park College, Bath is an exceptional 11-18 HMC senior school set in a stunning 57-acre estate in the City of Bath World Heritage Centre.

We are inviting applications for a permanent Registered Mental Health Nurse position, full time to work, term time plus two weeks to join our friendly team from January 2024.

The Registered Mental Health Nurse is a key role, working closely with the Lead Nurse and the Head of Compliance to support the proactive strategy for student health, including first aid, and pastoral care provision in the School. Will report directly to and be line-managed by the Lead Nurse with day to day responsibility for their own work priorities and maintenance of high standards and will provide high quality mental and physical health care to students and will seek to develop the role to reflect the needs and demands of the School Community to include mental and physical health, administrative and pastoral care responsibilities.

The post holder will have access to confidential information, always requiring absolute discretion and will deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders and be responsible for supporting the Lead Nurse to deliver effective holistic care to the students. Will also liaise with relevant members of staff, as required for the development of the service, and for the greater benefit of Prior Park Schools.
