The postholder will work autonomously as part of the school nursing team, to promote the health and wellbeing of school aged children and young people in all aspects of physical. Mental and emotional health. This is achieved through health surveillance and screening, detecting signs of ill health and abnormalities and supporting independent lifestyle choices to promote health in both the school and community setting.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative and have the ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills
Working knowledge of basic information technology
