This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for a Senior Development Manager to join our Mental Health Adult Services, as part of Midlothian HSCP, to support the organisation, delivery and performance monitoring of Mental Health Services across Midlothian. Mental Health Services in Midlothian HSCP are integrated and the post works across both NHS and Local Authority services.

This post will work across Adult Mental Health Services and we are looking for someone who is qualified to MSc level or with relevant work experience. Someone who has experience and knowledge of working with a range of Mental health services, can demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills, working with a wide range of stakeholders and organisational personnel, with experience of working with people from across all our communities, providing support to and promote patient/service user and carer involvement in mental health service redesign and developments. Applicants with the appropriate experience from our black / minority ethnic communities would be particularly welcome.  This post holder will work with and be responsible to the Adult Mental Health/SUS Service Manager.

Key duties will include, but are not limited to;
Supporting the development and expansion of a range of mental health services and supports

Developing strategies, action plans and performance management processes designed to deliver continuous improvement in relation to patient experience and safety in integrated Mental Health Services (both NHS and Local Authority).

Programme managing specific initiatives for the HSCP specifically linked to the transformation of integrated Mental Health Services (both NHS and Local Authority).
Supporting the commissioning and start of services.
Assisting with analysing performance monitoring framework.
Analysing and integrating evidence into discussions reports and plans.
Producing reports and delivering presentations.
Supporting the development and implementation of data and evaluation systems.

As part of a portfolio delegated role lead on a range of initiatives that ensure that professional leadership and improvement strategies are in place to promote a learning improvement culture for risk management and health and safety.
