Student Mental Health Worker. Student Services. Full Time. 37 hours per week. Permanent.

ASPIRE is a service at Leicester College that works with students to offer support if their mental health is having an impact on their life at College. We are looking to appoint a Student Mental Health Worker to join the ASPIRE team to support students with mental health problems, providing one-to-one interventions and support aimed at reducing the impact of their mental health conditions, to help students develop resilience and independence to stay in College. The sucessful candidate will also be expected to deliver a programme of psychoeducational workshops around key topics in mental health.

You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, this includes the ability to give constructive feedback to students and maintain effective records. You will also have the skills to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues throughout the College and external partners.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent along with recent and relevant experience of working within a mental health context and an awareness of a diverse range of mental health conditions. The successful candidate will also be educated to Level 2 minimum in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above, or equivalent).
