Supporter Care Officer

We are seeking a Supporter Care Officer for a leading health charity at an exciting time of growth.

Position: Supporter Care Officer

Location: Warwick – Hybrid

Salary: £19,000 – £24,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time – 35 hours

Closing Date: 18th July 2023

Interview Date: Week commencing 31st July 2023

About the role:

As Supporter Care Officer you will respond to enquiries from potential supporters by providing information on the latest fundraising activities and ensure when thanking donors, the impact of their donation is highlighted.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role holder are as outlined below:

 

  • Deliver excellent supporter care and an outstanding customer service experience
  • Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new
  • Responsible for accurately coding and processing donations across a range of income streams
  • Support the implementation of process and develop good practices within the team
  • Develop the personalisation of supporter communications
  • Have an operational understanding of all fundraising activities.
  • Ensure all written and telephone communications are dealt with in a supportive, timely, and enthusiastic manner.
  • Maintain and accurately update the database, Raisers Edge, in a timely manner
  • Develop and enhance relationships with existing supporters and volunteers
  • Work closely with other members of the fundraising team
  • Adhere to relevant legislation, best practice, policies, and processes
  • Travel to events

 

About You:

To be successful in this role you will possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and a commitment to providing an amazing supporter experience.

You will require the following knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Experience working in a similar role or busy customer service team
  • Be a natural enthusiast on the phone, in person, and via written communication
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence with IT systems: Microsoft and data inputting
  • Experience working regularly with a fundraising database/CRM system
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Experience in supporting the implementation of processes and standards
  • Knowledge/experience of working within a membership organisation or charity
  • Experience in working in a team to support the delivery of team objectives
  • Demonstrable commitment and understanding of the voluntary sector
  • Team player who will support colleagues when deadlines are pressed and who knows when to ask for help
