Course outline
This clinical skills package of two skills days, culminating in an OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) style assessment, provides updates on medical conditions and refreshes practical skills. The aim is to support clinical staff with their training and development needs, help them to raise the standards of care provided in schools and meet the needs of CPD as part of their revalidation. This will also be accomplished by networking with other nurses to share and recognise good practice.

The clinical day will involve several trainers teaching delegates in small groups, in rotation, on topics that are systems based
We will practise clinical skills such as History taking, ENT assessment, chest sounds, heart sounds, ABDO assessment, inhaler techniques and vision testing.
There will be a booklet to complete and every person will be observed and signed off for each skill.
The aim is to refresh or learn new skills and enhance basic physical assessments.
